As a distributor, how to manage loan events and guarantee payment demand?
Debt Eligibility enables you to track loan events and manage collateral calls. In this article, find out how to enter and track your demand.
1. Submit a guarantee payment demand
For each financing object in Validated status, you can declare a default and then submit a guarantee payment demand.
To declare a default, go to the relevant file then, in the Loan life section, click "Manage".
The demand is made in 4 distinct steps: default events declaration, guarantee payment demand, guarantee payment and recovery(s).
The default declaration is made per financing object. If your file contains several financing objects, declare the default for each one.
To submit a guarantee payment demand, the default declaration must first be sent to the programme manager. Without this, the path remains blocked.
A default declaration does not always lead to a guarantee payment demand. The two steps are separate.
1.1 Default events declaration
The financing object must be in Validated status to declare a default. If the object has any other status, the path remains blocked.
Complete the form:
- Default date
- Default reason (choose from the list set by the programme manager)
- Then validate
Click "Send" to inform the programme manager. Once sent, the Guarantee payment demand path is automatically unlocked.
Once the default declaration is sent, only the programme manager can modify it.
1.2 Guarantee payment demand
Once the default declaration is sent, you can submit the guarantee payment demand. Enter:
- Event date
- Event type
- Capital loss amount
- Interest loss amount
- The "Indemnity requested" field is automatically filled in based on the programme's coverage rate. It remains editable.
Click "Send" to inform the programme manager and unlock the Guarantee payment and Recovery(s) paths.
Once sent, only the programme manager can modify the guarantee payment demand.
1.3 Guarantee payment
The guarantee payment declaration is entered by the programme manager. The payment information is displayed automatically as soon as the programme manager enters the guarantee payment date in their reporting. It is tracked in the Guarantee payment section.
1.4 Recovery(s)
Log the recoveries made in the Recovery(s) section. To declare a new recovery, enter:
- Recovery date
- Recovery amount
- The "Recovery amount to disburse to guarantor" field is automatically filled in based on the programme's coverage rate. It remains editable.
Send the information to the programme manager for each recovery made, via the "Send" button.
Once sent, only the programme manager can modify the recovery.
2. Declare a contract event
For each financing object in Validated status, you can declare a contract event.
Go to the relevant file then, in the Loan life section, click "Manage". You access the Contract event(s) section.
In the entry window, complete the available fields.
One field is mandatory:
- Contract event type
The following fields are optional:
- New frequency
- New term
- New final maturity date
- New loan registration number
- New registration number
- Exclusion date
- Repayment date
- Other modified data
Once your entry is saved, you can edit, delete or send it to the programme manager.
As long as your declaration is not sent, the programme manager cannot access it. Once sent, only the programme manager can modify it.
You can enter several contract events per financing object.
